Russ & Heidi Barlow
Russ and Heidi are proud homeschool parents of 15 wonderful children. They currently teach primary, a calling fit for them as they both love children. Heidi was homeschooled growing up. She loves applying the extensive teaching knowledge she gained from years of working with her children and the special-needs children of other families in creating a robust hands-on curriculum that she uses for teaching their children. In 2019, the Lord inspired her to begin sharing this curriculum with others and to begin developing a series of workbooks through which she can share her most successful discoveries. She enjoys teaching her children by the Spirit and has sometimes received divine inspiration about how to teach certain subjects. She loves to teach children, and they love her.
Russ holds a degree in business and runs the family window business with other family members. Russ assisted in writing a book defending the translation of the Book of Mormon. He tends to be outspoken about the truthfulness of the scriptures, even to most of his clients. He continues to edit the Universal Model, and to work with his wife and children to develop homeschool science curriculum. He is involved in teaching his own children, and regularly presents faith-based science to other homeschool groups and private schools. A trained tour guide, Russ also enjoys taking his children and others on hikes and excursions into Nature, to explain to them God’s divine creations and to show them the evidences of Noah’s Flood.
